On Sunday, May 23, 2010 commemorating the landmark event in the life of the Christian church, which was the descent of the Holy Spirit on earth, what is called the baptism in the Holy Spirit, or otherwise, being filled with the Holy Spirit. This took place 10 days after Jesus ascended to heaven, and occurred on the day of Pentecost. Therefore, our Church, which is amphasizing to this particular event adopted the name Pentecostal Church.
